Industrial Design

Industrial design allows me to blend creativity with function, solving real-world problems through thoughtful design. I enjoy working on a range of projects—from concept sketches to 3D modeling and prototyping—bringing ideas to life with attention to detail and user experience. Each project is an opportunity to innovate, explore materials, and refine form and function.

Lamp Project

The lamp I created called Flora started in the program Rhino. After 3D modeling my framing pieces I then 3D printed the shapes and connected my reed to fit. I then added mulberry bark fiber to create a lantern look.

The Wavescape

In our group of four my group members and I created The Wavescape which is for a parklite in downtown Davis. From iterating sketch designs to then transferring our designs to rhino we agreed on a final design. I created a chipboard full scale model of our design to represent what in would look like in a smaller size. We then used cardboard cut outs that we glued together to create our final life size design.

The Wavescape is a parklet that invites everyone to relax, connect, and unwind. Whether you’re looking to chat with friends, spend time alone, or have a meal, this open and accessible space caters to anyone. It’s flowing and organic design, along with natural elements, creates a calming and inclusive environment for all to enjoy.
